Background

Welcome to the Blue Cheese 1086 Outreach website! The Blue Cheese Robotics Team participates in innovative competitions created by FIRST, or "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology." We are located at Deep Run High School in Glen Allen, Virginia where students, mentors, and alumni work together to build a robot within a 6 week time period. We inspire today's youth by demonstrating our robots and exposing the community to engineering through our mentoring program. This past year, our team created an innovative outreach program entitled "Flat Dean & Woodie World Wide Outreach Program."

What Is This Program?

This outreach project this year involves a global impact. Our two flat figures, in the theme of "Flat Stanley", are traveling the world visiting other FIRST teams, universities, and our team's own family, friends, and relatives.
